Love the idea of Super 8 film but want to have some digital footage as well? We offer a hybrid option that splits between the Super 8 footage and digital video.
What is Super 8?
Super 8 is a beautifully nostalgic way to look back your wedding - but what is it exactly? The camera is much like a film photo camera. We place the cartridge of film (a reel of film) into the camera and click the switch to start exposing the film which is moving at 18 FPS (frames per second). Each reel can capture up to 3 minutes of footage. During a wedding day we go through 4-8 reels depending on the type of Super 8 package you select. We mostly create highlight videos that showcase your day within 2-6 minutes.
These film cameras do not capture audio. We focus on the big moments as well as the sweet candid moments that happen throughout the day.
The film is sent out to be developed, scanned and digitized. We receive the raw footage and start editing! We select music that matches the vibe of your wedding day. We are happy to overlay specific music if you like!
